Assignment 2 - Cyber Ethics

For this assignment, I will give my opinion about CYBER ETHICS. For accomplish this assignment, I gain more information about this topic from the internet. So, most of the point of my view is based on the cyber ethics article that I'd read.


WHAT is ethics?


Ethics is related to the someone behavior. Ethics deal with 'value' on acts according to whether they are GOOD or BAD. From that, either it is something ethical or not, for one society or organization ethics gave rules to them.


What is CYBER ETHICS?
Cyber ethics is someone behavior while using the internet on the computer. As we know, computer is used in different kind of things in our life. Some of us believe that by using computer which is cyber space we have the right to give free speech. But, we must be honest and respect the rights and property of others.


RULES of cyber ethics..


1. Use the information from the internet to easy work
DO      : Cyber space is a world's largest library. So, used that for help you on doing 
            your homework or assignment. It is the fastest way to help you finished you works.
DON'T  : Copying information that you'd gain and call it as your own, you might be 
             arrest. What you need to do are state where you get the information from
             and state the time you take it the information at the end of your work or
             you make footnote at every others point that you'd taken.


2. Use the internet to search latest music, video and games
 DO      : Many websites where you can learn about music by listening to sample tracks,
             preview movie videos, and learn about new computer games.
 DON'T  : If something is copyrighted meaning that it's own by someone else. Because of 
              that, you cannot copy or distribute it without their permission. It is dishonest 
              and illegal to do that. When you see this symbol — © — it means that the 
              material is copyrighted.


3. Connecting people
 DO       : Use the internet to communicate with friends and family. It's good and fun 
              ways to communicate with your friends and family. But, always make sure 
              that you know with who you exchange your email.
 DON'T  : Don't use the internet to talk with strangers, don't pretend to be someone
              else, don't be rude or use bad language, and don't ever to give anyone your
              personal information or passwords. Those can make you in harm situation. 


4. Guide from the oldest or parents
DO       : Encourage your children to use the internet. Use the internet wisely for 
             information gathering and learning.
DON'T   : Leave your children unsupervised. Make sure you know what your children 
              visit on the internet and with whom they're communicating. Keep track of 
              the websites they visit and restrict their browsing to appropriate websites.
